The Opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey was held on the 10th November and was reviewed by Her Majesty the Queen Consort. We were joined by a representative from each of the 3 R’s. Lt Col Emma Bruce (Reserves), WO2 Will Gorthy (Regular) and In Pensioner Brian Rolfe from the Royal Hospital Chelsea (Retired). It was a wonderful event and I know a number of our members have visited the plot since the Field opened.
The annual Remembrance Day Service at The Cenotaph took place on Sunday 13th November. The Remembrance Parade was reviewed by HM King Charles III, The Queen Consort and Members of the Royal Family. The Royal Signals Association was represented by a contingent of 50 retired Officers and Soldiers remembering all those who have served and defended our nation, while honouring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
