Great news
Although we are still waiting to finalise meals for Saturday 9th September (basically they originally gave us three choices and we are insisting on four ) we have managed to put together a super package for Saturday morning/afternoon.
We had two choices to make for the Saturday and I put them to the committee to make a final decision.
Basically one choice was a river cruise for one and a half hours though the boat was very basic and the “facilities” (toilets ) were very very limited There was no tea or coffee on board but it was a very pretty river trip
Choice 2 was a visit to a vineyard (: www.welcombehills.co.uk ) who have been unbelievably brilliant in dealing with me. They are very close to Warwick, so we don’t have to leave until 10 on the coach and as you will see on the website not only do they do a tour, but also tasters and a pretty decent variety of snacks etc. What we are planning on, after the vineyard is the rest of the day in Stratford on Avon, stopping off at the river cruise base for anybody, like me, who fancy a river cruise as well.
Some of the feedback I received was that we need to get back to the hotel in plenty of time for the evening so we should aim to get back by about 4pm.
We have at least 45 on the spreadsheet at present and this may rise to 50. I think I can promise you a good day out . I am sending this to all our regular members.
