News of the 2021 AGM

Peterborough

17th June 2021 · 1 min read

Now we have been informed of the lockdown extension til 19th July I am trying (hopefully) to come up with a date to hold our very, very postponed AGM (from April 2020).  I have a couple of replies from the Branch officers and the suggestion is for the 6th August

Timings 6pm for those wanting to

eat and 7.30pm for the AGM followed by a Branch Meeting.

We have provisionally booked The Woodman (PE3 6SQ) for this get together and now would like to know how many are likely to attend.  Our President (John Hill) has agreed  to stay in post if no-one else wants the post. The same with Dave Stapleton as Chairman (was Vice Chairman but took over as Chairman pro tem after Geoff’s death). John Walsh handed in his resignation at the March 2020 meeting due to pressure of work, but subsequently stayed in post through the Pandemic, but we need an AGM and votes for a replacement though at that meeting Margaret Gardiner and David Brown both volunteered to be nominated.  Michael Court is willing to remain in post. Due to back problems he has resigned as Standard Bearer but Jane Crowe is happy to go from Deputy to Standard Bearer, though attending weekday events may be a problem as she is still working, So any weekday volunteer?

The 6th August was chosen as we need to start planning our Christmas Dinner as soon as possible. Please let Michael know if you are able to attend  Thank you. John Hill President
