About the Royal Signals Association
The Royal Signals Association (RSA) exists to serve all members and ex-members of the Corps, whether young or not so young.
You can also find us on Facebook and in over 60 locations around the UK.
One of our aims is to foster friendship among all members of our Corps family. The RSA are especially keen to provide more for younger members and appreciate any constructive ideas you may have to help them appeal to this group.
Comradeship is at the heart of The RSA. There are currently more than 60 branches of the Royal Signals Association nationwide. They operate autonomously. Most have lively, extensive programmes of events and activities.
Many meet at least monthly, have established committees and support the work of The Royal Signals, including Royal Signals Benevolent Fund, fundraising
The Peterborough Branch meet regularly once a month at the Gordon Arms, Oundle Rd in Peterborough normally the second Friday in the month a little before 1800hrs for food, followed by a meeting at 1930hrs. Our branch covers the Peterborough post code, extending out to Skegness, Hunstanton and The Wash. If you are not already a member and would like to come along, contact us, we will gladly arrange to meet you and introduce you to all the branch members. Royal Signals units provide the digital backbone for the British Army, wherever it operates in the world. They have deployed on every operation the Army has been involved in - at home and overseas - with special forces and intelligence gathering teams, or with soldiers serving in armoured formations, the Royals Signals are always deployed alongside.
All Royal Signals soldiers and officers are trained to become experts in engineering and operating communication systems, networks, power plants and delivering cyber techniques; providing reliable, secure communications that are a vital necessity in any conflict or humanitarian mission.
