If you receive copies of the 'Changi-ite Newsletter' you will have read that they met at the Marriott Warwick last year and are returning again next May. The same hotel we will be using this year ( and have done for many years)..What a pity the 19 Signal Regiment shield was not there for them to see!
However of more interest perhaps is the fact that they are having difficulties with the number of members attending reunions - 38 last year. This, allied to the vision, when the RAFCA was founded in 1996, that it would have a life of 25 years at the most (and 27 years have now passed!). They are considering forming a new Association for all those who served in FEAF or continue as at present but set a date for closure. Of course all of us served in FEAF.
Whilst this is only of peripheral interest to us, I suspect that some who served in 19 Sig Regt are members of RAFCA but have not joined us. We are going to discuss this matter during the committee meeting and,will be mentioned during the AGM.
