Just to keep our members in the loop about next years reunion.
Hopefully it will take place again during the second weekend in September.
Pam is currently in contact with Jade who looks after events at the Marriott, Warwick ( the old Hilton).
No details have been issued by the hotel, but Pam has emphasised to Jade how important that venue is to us as an Association.
Pam has reiterated our complaints after last year's reunion especially running out of gas to "pull" draught beer, warm bottled beer because the fridges were not working plus the many smaller but important disappointments over some poor services at the reunion dinner. She has told Jade that unless the hotel can offer us a reasonable rate similar to last year and similar facilities, we will no longer book the hotal for future reunions.
With this in mind, I am already looking at hotels in the Derby, Leicester and Nottingham areas and am prepared to look ahead as far as Peterborough where we hold a very successful RSA Peterborough Branch dinner every year.
We will endeavour to keep you updated on any new arrangements.
It is still a little early but it is a good opportunity to wish all our members, associate members and our vast number of friends of the Association a very happy Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year.
