You will have seen from the media that the Ministry of Defence is aware of a network compromise which potentially puts at risk the personal data of members of the Armed Forces (serving and veterans).
All personnel serving within the MOD have been informed of the compromise via MODNet email (See Attachment 1), which will be followed by a postal letter.
Veterans please see the FAQs sheet by clicking the link below. Please be assured that those who have left from Jan 2018 onwards, and who have received a payment from the MODs payment system, will receive a letter from DBS in the coming days.
Finally, we understand and empathise that this news is likely to be unsettling for our people. The Army is working closely with Defence to provide as much support and reassurance as is required.
