On the 28th March at 1200 Hrs we will be marking our first ‘Watson Day’ commemoration at the VC’s Memorial in Victoria Embankment Gardens, Westminster, where Watson’s VC plaque is located.
Representatives from the Association will gather at the memorial for a short commemorative service and wreath laying before retiring to a suitable venue in Trafalgar Square.
Lt Col Watson VC DSO, our second VC winner (28 March 1918) received his VC after action at Rossignol Wood, France. More details on the battle and Lt Col Watson's citation are available at the following link:
