Middlesex Yeomanry Association - Pearson Shoot

The Pearson Trophy is the annual shoot between the Association and the serving Squadron. It was initiated in 1978 on the death of the then Association Honorary Secretary, Major Phillip Pearson, a veteran of the 1941 Crete campaign and a notable shot. Since then it has been competed for every year bar 1995 and 1996 until the hiatus brought about by the pandemic. The Pearson Shoot will start again in 2023.

The trophy takes the form of a solid silver statuette of a rifleman mounted on a plinth and holding an SLR. The name of the winning team every year is engraved on silver plates mounted on the plinth.
