This evening we held the monthly meeting and top of the agenda was the Annual Dinner on 26 November 2021.
In view of the fact that for some time , Covid 19 is rife in parts of the city. normally we can expect in excess of 50 members and friends at the Annual dinner, but with the dinner only a few weeks away, the numbers are less than 25. As the Chairman said this evening "Local people are still very scared and very worried about Covid". The President agreed entirely and suggested that we should cancel this year's dinner in November and possibly try again in the new year, possibly as late as mid March. This was unanimously agreed by all 14 members present and it is therefore with the deepest regret, we are announcing that that this years dinner is cancelled.
