First of all, on behalf of our Chairman, Pat Soward, in advance of our reunion, may I wish you all a very warm welcome to the Annual Reunion Dinner of the 19th Signal Regiment Association..

We will be giving and extra special welcome to the weekend to some of our “First Timers” and those we have not seen for some time. Anne Short, Beatrice and Charles Elson, Tracy Vassic, Louise Robinson, Phil and Marie Tudgay, Chris and Lawren Chucka, Gaz and Lyn Fadzilah, Martin and Irene Prior, Ken and Angie Durrant, , Rajinder Funnell, Fiona Plant, Dave and Vicky Matthews, John Matthews, Emily Craven, Oliver Cobbold and good friends of mine from 603 Signal Troop, Yvonne and Malcolm Hopper, Cliff and Julie Kerry, Chris and Bet Williams and Billy Allen.

A bit of advance warning though and a special request for those attending the Cheltenham to Broadway Railway. The coach must leave by 9.15 so would you please make sure you are on the coach by 9.00. Timing is tight ! We will alight at Broadway and spend the afternoon there. Please wear your “Name Tags” throughout the weekend . I expect a number of you will want to wear the dreaded Covid mask on the coach and on the train. Please do so. We normally get together on Friday evening for a three course supper which always includes a curry,

You will note that the hotel has a new name as it has been taken over by the Marriott group. As there may be some renovating work going on ( for which I apologise) the hotel have given us a complete suite for the weekend where we will, eat, socialise and have the dinner on Saturday. The main bar should be open on the Friday evening too. There will be a table plan which should be available on entering the Warwickshire Suite for our reunion dinner. For comfort I have kept the table numbers down to 8.This is so that there are no tables which are overcrowded and uncomfortable. Newcomers don't forget it's a jacket and tie job on the Saturday evening or you get no dinner.

Your personal menu will on the table on your arrival for dinner….and we may have a little surprise for you during dinner. The hotel has agreed that we may bring our own personal wine to the table at the dinner but please ensure that it is registered with the hotel and that you are aware that you will be charged £7.50 corkage on each bottle which will be added to your bill. ( That’s a very good deal) .For further details see me.!!

Johnson’s Coach must leave the hotel by 0915 prompt for Cheltenham.

Please wear your name tags.
