Reserves Day 2021

Signaller Tim Cook 39 Sig Regt

Signaller ‘Tim’ Cook (27) joined 39 Signal Regiment in May 2019 seeking something more interesting and exciting than his desk job. He also wanted to help others and wanted to experience the training and personal development opportunities offered by the Corps. Although he had no previous military experience, he fitted in quickly and became a Communication Systems Operator, responsible for deploying and operating tactical information systems (primarily digital radios). He has deployed on many UK-based training exercises where he has put his skills into practice.

Tim's day job is data analysis for Admiral Insurance, who he says have been great. "Admiral has signed the Armed Forces Covenant and have always been incredibly supportive of my activities with the Reserves," he tells us.
