Recognising the 40th Anniversary of the Falkland Islands War, Cpl Coker from HQ 1 (UK) Signal Brigade hosted a charity event on Tuesday 14 June at Imjin Barracks Gymnasium.
The event was a voluntary fitness event to raise money for the Royal Signals Charity. It consisted of three teams of five participating in a circuit involving members of HQ 1 Signal Brigade and soldiers from 252 Sig Sqn, 22 Signal Regiment. The circuit was a continuous row whilst rotating through four bodyweight movements within 40 minutes.
The winning team was the team with the highest distance achieved on the rower. However, due to the close competition and close gap between distances, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier P Muir MBE awarded all teams with a prize.
At present 1SIGX have raised £100 for the Royal Signals Charity but are pushing for more donations for what was a great event organised by Cpl Coker, R SIGNALS and LCpl Kettle-Ragiste AGC.
