R SIGNALS Soldier saves footballer's life

WO2 Jamie Davis has been in the Corps for 26 years and is currently based at Worthy Down as an RQMS instructor.

 

Having already received a Bde Commanders Commendation, he was recently presented with the Royal Humane Society award at North Yorkshire Police Headquarters for saving a footballer's life.

 

In December 2020, Jamie was in charge of a friendly football game at an astro turf complex in York when a civilian player collapsed on the pitch adjacent to his.
