The Corps’ OSC 2024, held over the period of 8 – 14 April, saw R SIGNALS teams from 14, 16, 21, 22 and 30 Sig Regt competing in the Regular event, and 37 Sig Regt entering the reserve competition.
Formerly the Force Troops Command Operational Shooting Competition, this year saw the return of the event since it was suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The Corps’ OSC provides an excellent platform for firers from across the R SIGNALS to develop and test their marksmanship skills, and the opportunity for units to qualify for the Defence Operational Shooting Competition. This year the competition saw over 180 participants representing 22 different units from RE, R SIGNALS, RLC, REME and AGC.
This year’s event saw 30 Sig Regt position third overall in the Regular competition, and 37 Sig Regt winning the Reserve competition, along with a number of individuals awarded prizes for their contributions.
Next year, R SIGNALS will lead the Corps’ OSC 2025, with the ambition to host a fun and competitive event for all teams, and secure the coveted top awards!
