Hundreds of Army vehicles shipped to Romania for NATO exercise

Throughout January and February 2025, NATO will conduct Exercise Steadfast Dart 25 to practice the deployment of the new Allied Reaction Force (ARF).

A total of 730 vehicles, including members of 214 Signal Squadron, 2 Signal Regiment, deployed last week to Alexandroupolis, Greece, before moving onto Romania for NATO’s ARF Exercise. The road move leads from Greece, through Bulgaria and into Romania. Alexandroupolis Air and Sea Ports of Departure (A/SPOD) served as a strategic location to demonstrate deployment capabilities and interoperability between participating nations.

The aim of the exercise is to practice a major deployment of land, sea and air forces across Europe.  It will demonstrate NATO's ability to mobilise at speed across the continent.
