Today, we proudly recognize Pipe Major (PM) Mark Black for his exceptional leadership and service. After nearly six years as Corps Pipe Major, he has officially handed over the appointment to Pipe Major Andy Wilson following the National Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph.

During his tenure, PM Black led the Corps Pipes & Drums showcasing their talent at prestigious events including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, and the U.S. President’s state visit to Windsor Castle. A Communications Installation Engineer by trade, he exemplifies the highest standards of a Royal Signals Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. His final duty marked a historic milestone leading the Pipes & Drums as the official military band representing Defence at the Cenotaph for the first time in Corps history.
