The Royal Signals offers five apprenticeships that let you earn while you learn, with a competitive starting salary of around £25,200–£26,334 a year while you train. Each apprenticeship also provides industry-recognised qualifications that are valuable both in the Army and in civilian careers.
- Information Services Engineer – Learn to manage, secure, and support IT systems and networks that keep the Army connected.
- Network Engineer – Design, manage, and protect Army networks, ensuring soldiers can communicate securely wherever they operate.
- Communications Infrastructure Engineer – Build, maintain, and repair the networks and fibre-optic systems that are the backbone of Army communications.

- Electronic Warfare Operator – Operate specialist technology to intercept, analyse, and support military operations through signal intelligence.
- Supply Chain Operative – Make sure essential equipment, supplies, and gear reach the right place at the right time.
- Power Engineer – Keep critical systems running using generators, batteries, and other electrical equipment.
Each apprenticeship combines hands-on experience, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical training, giving you the skills, confidence, and nationally recognised qualifications to build a strong career in the Army and beyond.
