Exercise CYBER CHALLENGE 24

Ex CYBER CHALLENGE 24 (Ex CC 24) took place on the 18th September, an annual one-day engagement event showcasing Cyber opportunities within the Army and the Royal Signals, with students attending from local schools all over the Southwest. The event, hosted by the Royal Signals Corps Engagement Team (CET) and held on Blandford Camp, was designed to engage with Cyber-driven students while highlighting the capabilities of the Royal Signals and the opportunities it can offer.

Students spent the day immersed in activities that mirrored the complexities of real-world cyber threats. For example, they participated in 'Cyber Challenge in a Box', a cyber-themed task that required teams to solve puzzles to prevent a cyber-attack. Additionally, they took part in Cyber Detective, an activity involving open-source intelligence gathering. The teams worked diligently to complete the tasks that emphasised the importance of collaboration in cybersecurity as well as building confidence in problem-solving skills.

The event concluded with an award ceremony to recognise the outstanding performance of the winning team, Bournemouth School for Girls, who left the event feeling immensely proud of their achievement. The success of CYBER CHALLENGE 24 meant that all participants departed with greater knowledge and a renewed drive to pursue a cyber or STEM career in the future, a path our Corps is well-equipped to support.
