As we pause to reflect on the incredible service and sacrifices of our veterans, we are proud to honour 101-year-old Cyril Booth, a distinguished Royal Signals veteran of the Normandy campaign.
In a moving ceremony, Cyril was presented with the prestigious Légion d’Honneur by Brigadier General Bertrand Debray, Deputy Commander of the 1st (UK) Division. This honour, France’s highest order of merit, recognises Cyril’s extraordinary bravery and service during the Second World War.

Soldiers from 2 Signal Regiment were in attendance to show their respect and gratitude, paying tribute to Cyril on this special occasion.

We extend our congratulations to Cyril on receiving this well-deserved recognition. His legacy continues to inspire generations of signallers and servicemen and women across the Corps.
