Behind the Scenes at this year's National Act of Remembrance
251 Signal Squadron played a crucial role in this years National Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph. Comprised of 20 soldiers, the Squadron's responsibilities included timing control and maintaining situational awareness throughout the ceremony.
Timing control is a key aspect of their role, with teams stationed at critical points, such as behind Big Ben in Elizabeth Tower and on Horseguards, where they work closely with the gun teams. Their mission is to ensure the guns fire precisely as the clock strikes 11:00, marking the beginning of the two-minute silence.
