Tips for a successful page

We've put together some tips to help you reach your fundraising target and get the most out of your JustGiving page.

1. Share the reason you’re fundraising

Grab attention by adding your reasons for fundraising to the top of your page. It’s the first thing your visitors will read and could help boost your donations.

2. Add photos, videos and livestreams

Fundraising pages with visual content raise more money.

Keep your JustGiving page up to date and engaging by regularly sharing new photos and videos as you get ready and train for your event. Remember to share updates and highlights once your event is over too, you can continue to collect donations even after your event has ended.

3. Set a fundraising target

Setting a target is really important as it gives you and your supporters something to aim for. It’s also satisfying to watch yourself getting closer to your target.

4. Donate to yourself and ask for support

Donating to your own fundraising shows your passionate about raising funds for the charity and can raise 54% more money. Friends and family often give more than acquaintances, so getting their support first is a good way to encourage others to do the same.

You can also add Gift Aid to your donation and ask others to do the same. Adding Gift Aid to a donation boosts it by 25% at no extra cost.

5. Update your page regularly

Remember to post regular updates about your fundraising. It encourages people to revisit your page and they may even share it with their friends.

6. Share your page on social media

Share updates to your page on your social media channels, by email and however else you're keeping your supporters up to date.

Consider refreshing your social media profile picture too; to let everyone know you’re fundraising for the Royal Signals Charity.

7. Use our resources

Shout about your fundraising and use our materials to promote your event. Everything you should need to promote your event and help spread the word, including fundraising packs, sponsorship forms and much more.
