Willie's Swimming fundraiser for Royal Signals Charity

Who is Willie?

I am currently 56 having served in the Royal Signals from 17 - 40. I work as a HSEQ Manager and have since I left the Signals, also I am the Secretary and Standard Bearer for the South of Scotland Branch of the RSA.

What is Willie doing?

I am swimming 26 miles (a little at a time) and aim to achieve this before the end of April 23. Some of my colleagues are running in the Belfast Marathon at the end of April and whilst running a marathon didn’t appeal to me, I thought I would challenge myself by swimming one instead.

Why is Willie doing this?

In 1990 the Charity helped my Wife and I, and I am now able to be in the position to give something back to the Royal Signals charity as I know first-hand the good work they do for serving members as well as veterans.
